The Gliding Club of Western Australia is located in the sunny wheatbelt town of Cunderdin, approximately an hour and a half east of Perth. The club caters to glider pilots and offers scenic joyflights to visitors of all ages. If you've ever wanted to fly like an eagle and experience soaring flight, then they would love to see you!
Joyflights are available on most Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting, and consist of a half hour flight in one of the club's two seat gliders in the care of one of their experienced instructors. It is a fantastic way to experience flight, or just to see the local countryside from a different perspective. You will also have the opportunity to learn how a glider flies, and if you're interested you'll be able to have a go yourself - it is a lot easier than you would expect.
