A range of fish species including the Murray Cod, Golden Perch, Silver Perch, Catfish, Redfin and Trout can all be found in Lake Burrendong. It was constructed in 1967 for flood mitigation purposes. Since then it has become a haven for keen anglers and water sports enthusiasts.
