Visitors thinking of visiting the wetland should make prior contact with Crown Lands or Leeton Shire Council to determine that the wetland has been reopened to the public.
Fivebough Swamp is two kilometres north-east of Leeton, New South Wales. The wetlands contain a habitat of exceptional quality for water birds, particularly waders. Around 174 different species of bird have been observed at Fivebough to date.
