About Goulburn Brewery

Goulburn Brewery is the oldest surviving brewery and industrial complex in Australia. It has been restored to its original functions, reproducing the original ales and stouts made by traditional processes since 1836. The brewery complex is made up of the steam flour mill, maltings, tobacco curing kiln, cooperage, mews, stables and workers cottages designed by Francis Greenway. Guided tours are available by appointment. The Old Goulburn Brewery Hotel is open daily, serving fine ales and good food. The tea rooms serve light lunches and Devonshire teas, and the restaurant has lunch and dinner daily, with theatre restaurant seasonally. Monthly craft markets are held at the brewery on the fourth Saturday of each month. There is cosy accommodation available in the restored Brewer's Cottages. Enjoy all the country cottage charm of the 1830s, with roaring log fires, and even earth and brick floors and lime washed walls in the mews!
