Walk, jog, cycle or just sit alongside the estuary at Mandurah's Foreshore Reserve. Children will enjoy playing in one of Western Australia's favourite playgrounds, where parents can watch on from shady picnic tables. Swimming areas are complimented by free barbeques and extensive walk ways. Along the northern end of the foreshore is the Boardwalk precinct where you can catch a movie, a show, enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat or visit the Australian Sailing Museum. From there it's a short walk to Dolphin Quay where you will find markets, restaurants and cafes with views of the marina. Situated in the heart of Mandurah, it is an easy stroll to the shopping precinct with a range of clothing boutiques, home wares and souvenirs. During summer the reserve hosts markets and festivals, including the popular Channel Seven Mandurah Crabfest. Mandurah is an aquatic paradise with an extensive river system, expansive estuary and kilometres of white sandy beaches, and is home to over one hundred bottlenose dolphins. Located just a one hour drive south of Perth, Mandurah is a popular holiday destination. The train runs frequently between Perth and Mandurah stations, with shuttle buses provided to the foreshore and boardwalk precincts.
