The Queensland Performing Arts Centre hosts world class entertainment in the Concert Hall, Lyric Theatre, Cremorne Theatre and the Playhouse. It's the second home to the state's leading performing arts companies - Queensland Theatre Company, Queensland Ballet, Queensland Orchestra and Opera Queensland.
Many of the world's major musicals have been staged at QPAC including Cats, A Chorus Line, The Phantom of the Opera, CHICAGO, We Will Rock You and Les Miserables.
QPAC regularly welcomes visiting performing arts companies from around the country including the Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, Brandenburg Orchestra, Opera Australia, Bell Shakespeare, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Australian Chamber Orchestra and more.
Located just across the river from the Brisbane Central Business District, the Cultural Centre is the arts and cultural hub of Brisbane. In a day at the Cultural Centre, you can see a show, admire the work of Australian artists, dine, shop and take in the great view of the city from the beautiful park surroundings. The Centre is comprised of Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Theatre Company, Queensland Museum South Bank, Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and State Library of Queensland and is situated at the South Bank side of the Victoria Bridge.
